What should be in the daily report?
The information the parent is really looking for is limited and the same every day. When the report covers these topics completely, no additional questions arise.
- Attendance status: arrived, late, off duty
- Nutrition: consumption per meal
- Sleep: rest period
- Event: event of the day and attendance
- Photo: in-class sharing if available
- Teacher's note: short observation specific to the child
The report is not written at the end of the day, it accumulates throughout the day
If the teacher starts an empty form in the evening, the report will be incomplete or late. The correct order is this: attendance is marked in the morning, feeding is marked in the afternoon, sleep is marked in the afternoon; Only the teacher's grade is added at the end of the day.

Language of teacher note
The note should be short, concrete and observational. "Today was good" does not carry information. "He focused for 20 minutes during the painting activity, took his nap late", informs the parent and leaves a note for the next day.
If a negative situation is to be conveyed, describe the behavior, do not characterize the child. Suggest an individual meeting if necessary; The daily report is not a place for discussion.
Store past records
The real value of the daily report is revealed when it accumulates. You can only see changes in a child's eating or sleeping patterns by looking at past records. When records are kept by the student, both the parent and the institution can go back by selecting the date.
Small records entered during the day are both more accurate and faster than trying to write a long report at the end of the day.
